Schedule & Location:

  • Fully remote – never onsite
  • Assigned shifts vary between 7 AM – 8 PM CT
  • Training schedule: 8 AM – 4:30 PM CT

 

Salary/Wage:

  • $18 – $21 per hour (based on experience)

 

Duties:

  • Answer inbound calls from members, providers, and other stakeholders regarding prior authorizations.
  • Provide professional phone assistance using criteria-based prior authorization processes.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation of approvals and denials.
  • Transfer all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a high-volume call center (healthcare, social services, or similar industry).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating administrative support functions.
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
  • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification preferred but not required at a state or national level.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a remote setting with reliable internet access.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while handling high-volume calls.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required (must be verifiable).
