This is a part-time, hourly contractor role, requiring several dedicated working days and hours per week to keep our financial records up to date and aligned with our business operations.

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Transaction Management: Accurately record and categorize all financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Account Reconciliation: Regularly review and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
Invoicing & Payments: Create and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Expense Tracking: Ensure all expenses are properly recorded and categorized.
Financial Reporting: Generate reports on cash flow, profit and loss, and other key financial metrics.

Tax & Compliance Support: Assist in preparing financial data for tax filings and compliance needs.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping workflows for better efficiency.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant (minimum 3+ years preferred).
Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online is mandatory.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, and financial reconciliation.

Experience working as an independent contractor or for small businesses.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills and responsiveness to team inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SaaS business financial management.

Familiarity with Stripe, PayPal, and online payment platforms.

Prior experience managing agency finances.

Application Process:
As part of the application, candidates will be required to complete a mock QuickBooks scenario to demonstrate their proficiency in handling a new client’s bookkeeping setup.

This will involve:
- Setting up a new client in QuickBooks Online.
- Categorizing sample transactions.
Reconciling a mock account.
- Generating a basic financial report.
